Sirius was formed in 1988 from an already well-established in-house architectural team in Leeds.

Keen to widen our horizons we believed it was an ideal time to diversify. We began by making working models of steam engines and textile machinery for B.I.M.

On the product side we found a niche in medical prototyping, spending a year developing products for vascular radiology research moving later into dental and orthopaedic work.

As time progressed the trend for interactive museums found us working more and more in this field covering the full spectrum

from straightforward model making through to mechanical, electronic or a combination of both and animatronics.

Recently the challenges have changed as complex features have given way to simpler more cost conscious constructions.

Increasingly museum design staff are taking on the role of commissioning work and to this end our team offer a complete package from research, design and development, through to construction of high quality products.

Working closely with our clients from the outset ensures that the product can be tuned to exact requirements.

With sometimes very short lead times, this involvement enables us to produce our products to the highest standards with the

minimum of difficulty.
